Research & Historical Thinking
As we start our collaborative research one important step is understanding historical context. (See the resources from Digital Inquiry Group on the steps of historical thinking). Part of our class research project is a crowdsourced timeline of suffrage in world history. This work is in progress and you can see our timeline here. This timeline grounds us in chronology, geography, and evidence as we explore the history of women’s suffrage and the history of the 1853 National Women’s Rights Convention in Cleveland.
Our learning groups are working on the first stages of research and identifying points for improvement in the article above. Stay tuned for our upcoming post which including student reflections on Wikipedia research. Edits will be complete on these articles by the end of March.
