Hello! My name is Amanda Gedeon. I’m a film student here at Cleveland State, and I’ll be graduating in 2017 with minors in international film and history.  Afterwards, I hope to go on to graduate school abroad for film history and preservation. This summer I’m thrilled to be a part of the “Protest Voices: Using Activist Oral Histories to Teach Historical Thinking” project for the CSU Social Studies Program and the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities. Updates on the project will be posted on the Social Studies @ CSU and History Speaks blogs in the next few months. Cleveland has a rich history of peace movements and protest; making those resources more accessible to teachers is a fantastic goal. I look forward to learning and sharing as much as I can!
