June 10: OCHE Teacher Workshop in Youngstown

Excellent opportunity for middle and high school teachers to work with the Yad Vashem curriculum “Echoes and Reflections” in Youngstown:
The Ohio Council on Holocaust Education is hosting an elective Workshop at no charge to attendees, Monday, June 10, 2013, at Youngstown State University, located in Youngstown, Ohio. The Workshop will be presented in Kilcawley Center’s President’s Suite from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., with luncheon being served at 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. in the adjacent Ohio Room.
The focus of this Workshop deals with instruction of middle and high school teachers throughout the state of Ohio, in the history and pedagogy of Holocaust Education. Participants of the free Workshop will receive a variety of resources including Yad Vashem’s Holocaust curriculum, Echoes and Reflections. Ms. Sarah Weiss, from Cincinnati, OH will serve as facilitator for the Workshop.
The deadline for responses and applications is June 1, 2013.
