The ESC of Cuyahoga County invites you to participate in the Global Teacher Institute, Fostering Innovation in Education, on Aug. 1st and 2nd at the ESC’s Eastridge PD Center at 5700 W. Canal Rd, Valley View. The Institute sessions will explore innovative pedagogical methods, education, business and community connections, and local and global resources for those interested in enhancing teacher preparation and student success for the global knowledge economy.
Participants will learn about the world’s highest-performing school systems and their paths to success from keynote presenter, Dr. Brad Mitchell of Battelle for Kids, and the impact of education on economic and cultural development from keynote presenter Consul General Jurcek Zmauc of the Republic of Slovenia. Breakout sessions will include International Baccalaureate, NextGen, Asia Society and other models emphasizing learning with a global perspective, as well as world and critical languages, multicultural literature, and local and global resources to enhance teaching and learning.
