First Year Experience is hiring Peer Mentors for Fall 2018!!

First Year Experience at Cleveland State University is looking to hire Peer Mentors for the Fall 2018 semester. The ASC 101 Peer Mentor serves as a guide to support and provide academic assistance to first year students at Cleveland State University. The Peer Mentor serves as an integral part of the First Year Experience Seminar (ASC 101) and the freshmen acclimation to campus life.
Each Peer Mentor assists students in developing their knowledge, learning new skills and bolstering their confidence to become independent learners with high academic performance. The Peer Mentor works closely with the instructor in planning and preparation for the course, attends each class, assists students in transitioning to Cleveland State University, as well as coordinates multiple out-of-class activities.
Peer Mentors are compensated for working up to 10 hours per week at $10.00 per hour.

They will be having a First Year Experience – ASC 101 Peer Mentor Hiring Fair and on the Spot Interviews the last week of March. You have the following options to attend:
• Tuesday, March 27 11am – 1pm
• Wednesday, March 28 9am – 11am
• Wednesday, March 28 3pm – 5pm
You will go to Tutoring & Academic Success Center (TASC) in MC 233 to check-in before your interview. Please dress in business casual attire and bring your completed application with you.
